The Third Annual Craft Fair at Eye4You Alliance Island

Jan. 17, 2009, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. SLT

Open to all teens.  Free t-shirts for everyone.

This year’s theme is GOING GREEN.

What is your green footprint?  Create objects that are focused on Going Green.

Do your part to save the environment. Recycle some prims!

Bring your best stuff to the Craft Fair and show it off !

Big things, little things, what have you made?
Things like…clothes. hair, shoes, houses, cars, planes, spaceships, tools, textures, flags, rugs, banners, fishes, cats, dogs, bears, dragons, barns, docks, trees, flowers, butterflies, diamonds, pearls, rubies, or anything else you’ve made.

“Wow! Something to do on a Saturday.”

Don’t hide your light under a bushel basket. Come and show it off on Jan. 17. This year, think of how your objects are “green.” Describe that for us. Help us see how you are working to make life on Earth better for everyone.

Today is one of Eye4You Manager’s last day on the teen grid. Daniel Voyager (pictured here from his going away party on Eye4You last weekend) is moving on to the main grid. See his post about it here. Daniel has been an amazing volunteer on Eye4You-always helpful in getting the word out about events, showing new people around the sim, organizing classes, and being a phenomenal mentor. His spirit and energy will add a lot to the main grid. We will definitely miss him at Eye4You but main grid is very lucky to have him!

Medieval Enchantment Tournaments of November

December 13th, 2008 Posted in Medieval Enchantment Tournament | No Comments »

Chess Game

Chess Game

November was a busier month for the METs but not always with medieval sports. Sometimes teens wanted to hang out talk about their SL skills, college plans, building and scripting, education assets of SL in classes and their TG business plans. So nice to meet you, Sever, Targ, Ars, icymike, Suany, Jok3z, Jace and Tae.

Gain Bravin, our business expert, gave some sage advice, told teens about his upcoming workshop and reset the archery field. CoachKat gave encouragement to teens and discussed some upcoming plans. Laughter lived up to his name being a bit hyper one day and had us ROTF laughing. It was also good to see our great armorer, Ruud, again. On the 28th I found a few teens playing chess, I am glad to see interest in that again. Mitchcm made and scripted a boar for our SpellFire target practice. Thank you so much!

Congratulations to Feefifoo, who stopped by with great news, for getting a big college scholarship!

Several teens, including a couple of ladies, learned to use the Archery field and did quite well. Our Archers include, Laermore, JohnLuke, Jeroen, Mitchcm CuckNorris, TheQ, Ztrikan, Eaglewing, Sharkey, Diana and Roy.

We enjoyed a few free-form Ranger Battles, running all over the parcel shooting at each other with bows and arrows and rushing to the healing shrine, so it lasted a glorious long time.

Some learned to use the SF Sword and Duel Arena including: Laermore, dex Roy and zonic. Diana also learned to use SF Bow. Barziboy and Blane learned all the SF weapons wand, bow and sword. It was so nice to see some familiar faces, who were away for a while. Ztrikan has gotten a lot better with sword and beat me a few times too! Mitchcm did well in a few sword matches as well. Please come back again soon.

I hope to see more teens at Medieval Enchantment Tournaments. Don’t forget we have fishing set up. I will try to get the Wizardry game and moving targets on the Archery field going again. We will need to find a better way to use the jousting horses and equipment, before we do that again. Meanwhile points are accumulating with all the participants for super prizes which will be determined at the end of the month, so be sure to participate in the events every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Cars, Bugs, Stars, Chimps, Mummy’s, Spacecraft and More

Hey There :)

We’ve learned about all kinds of stuff at Science Friday this year.  We’ll have another month and then we turn the page to 2009.  Come on out on Fridays to hear about the latest in science innovations from experts around the world.  It’s a live broadcast so we can ask questions from Second Life that might get answered on the air.  See you there!

Ad Astra!!

Medieval Enchantment Tournaments for October

November 9th, 2008 Posted in Medieval Enchantment Tournament | No Comments »

Gain Bravin brought over some items. We have a new Archery Field set up as of October 18. It has moving targets that are much more challenging to shoot. I see names on the board but no scores. Please remember when using it to click on the bow and choose the Comp arrows which do not leave arrow prim litter and are the only ones that register on the scoreboard. The SpellFire bows only work with the meters and do not work on the archery field. It is a different system.

Gain also brought over the Wizardry Game. I have lost 2 of ,the trial game HUDs due to teens not knowing that adults cannot receive items from teens except through a give-all box. Teens have offered to buy the game after trying it. I am making a request to the Creator to get
more game HUDs. Thanks Gain!

Several teens learned the SpellFire system this month and sparred a bit. A few learned the archery system. It is fun, so I hope more will show up too. METs also host Sword, Bow, Wands and Jousting when available. Win points toward main grid prizes and Titles of the Realm. Friday 1pm slt to 3pm slt, Saturday and Sunday 12noon slt to 2pm slt. - Zoaan
